Self-Love Yoga Matching Game: Students will match yoga poses with self-love affirmations, reinforcing confidence and body awareness through playful movement.
Read or Watch "The Reflection in Me": Enjoy a heartwarming story that highlights self-love and seeing the good within yourself. This can be read as a book or watched as a read-aloud video to engage students visually and emotionally.
Self-Love Mirror Mindfulness Journal Worksheet: Using this reflective worksheet, students will practice mindfulness by identifying and celebrating their positive traits, helping them see themselves with kindness and compassion.

The goal is to help students understand that taking care of themselves is an important way to show self-love. -

Description: Students will be introduced to the idea of loving-kindness through games, group discussions, and a guided Loving-Kindness meditation. Activities will include brainstorming acts of kindness, making kindness cards for classmates or family members, and participating in a "kindness challenge" where they track and share kind deeds throughout the week. This week helps children connect love with actions that benefit others. -

Description: Students will learn about the 5 love languages (words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch) in an age-appropriate way. Through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities like role-playing and creating love language-themed art projects, they will explore how to recognize and appreciate the ways they and others give and receive love. This week will encourage understanding, inclusivity, and stronger relationships with peers and family.

Self-Love Matching Game:
Objective:
Help kids and families recognize different types of love and express positive connections through a fun and interactive matching game.
Materials Needed:
Print off the “self love cards” double sided with the heart opening yoga poses.
A large open space for players to do the poses.
Set-Up:
Shuffle the cards and hand them out so each participant has one.
Ensure there are two of each "self love cards" example in the deck.
Instructions:
Explain that each card represents way to practice self love. The goal is to find the person who has the matching card by moving around the room and sharing what their card says.
For example, if one player has "eat nourishing foods" and another has the same card, they are a match!
Once a match is made, the pair does the pose together.
Reflection:
After everyone has found their match, sit in a circle and discuss:
What type of self love did you have?
Have you ever practiced it before?
What is your favorite way to show yourself love?

This activity also opens the door for meaningful discussions, such as, "Is self-love easy or hard?" and "Why might self-love feel challenging sometimes?" Use this time to encourage thoughtful conversations and help students reflect on how self-love plays a role in their lives.

Self-Love Speed Ball
Game Objective:
Help kids recognize and share positive affirmations about themselves and others in a fun, fast-paced game that builds self-esteem and connection.
Materials Needed:
A soft ball, stuffed animal, or heart pillow.
Set-Up:
Gather the kids in a circle (sitting or standing).
Introduce the concept of self-love and affirmations. Share an example like, "I am brave!" or "I am creative!
Rules:
On “go!” state an affirmation out loud and
Pass the object to someone else in the circle.
The child holding the object will also share a self-love affirmation about themselves (e.g., "I am kind!") and passes the object to someone else.
Continue until everyone has had a turn or multiple turns.
If you take too long to come up with an affirmation, you are out and sit in the middle of the circle. Everyone still in the game will give the eliminated person affirmations.
Adaptations for Age Groups:
Younger Kids: Use simpler phrases or provide a list of affirmations they can choose from.
Older Kids: Add a challenge by having them create affirmations on the spot without repeating earlier ones.
Debrief:
After the game, gather everyone to discuss how it felt to say or hear affirmations.
Encourage them to use affirmations daily to remind themselves of their unique qualities.
